New to the Studio
New Student Information
- New students it is mandatory to arrive 10-15 minutes early to take care of first time registration paperwork.
- Remember to remove your shoes at the door.
- Please, please remember to remove your shoes at the door!
- Arrive on time, doors will be shut right when class starts. Late arrivals will not be admitted to class.
- Don’t forget to pick up your new student package after class.
- We are a cell-phone free studio. Turn off your phones, pager or other devices when entering the studio. If it goes off during class, no big deal, turn it off. Not turning it off IS a big deal!!!
- Please be clean. Avoid smoking, wearing perfumes, scented lotions,creams or colognes to class. Please also keep your clothes and feet fresh.
- If the door is closed, class is in session. Please wait at the bottom of the stairs until the instructor calls you up.
Practice Guidelines
- Avoid eating heavy meals 2-3 hours before class.
- Make sure that you drink at least half your bodies weight in ounces a day. Be sure to drink at least 1 liter of water 90 minutes before class.
- Wear comfortable clothes to stretch in. Try to avoid wearing long, loose or baggy clothing. Dress as if you are going for a run on a warm day. Less clothing is better.
- Water is recommended. Please bring your own, we do not provide water.
- If you are feeling ill or at the beginning of a cold or flu, please do not attend class.
- Mats are NOT ideal for our studio. We recommend a regular bath or beach towel. We do however have mats available for rental for $1.00
What to Expect
- It is going to be hot in the room. We heat the room to 85-90 degrees, so expect to sweat, A LOT!
- To get alot of personal attention.
- To get a great workout in. Our classes are physically challenging. The style is not gentle.
- Not to be doing any sun salutes or lunging
- To have a lot of fun
- To meet a great group of people to do yoga with!
