The California Yoga Company is a center that features a unique heated hatha yoga system. Our beginning Yoga classes are physically challenging and very different then your average yoga class. The teachers are qualified and supportive in your yoga journey. Our community is comprised of people that love yoga and have no “yoga attitude”. Put simply we are the “Cheers” of yoga studios.
The Studios:
California St:
Our Pacific Heights location is located In the heart of Fillmore district at 2410 California St #3. Directly across the street from Mollie Stones and above One Medical Group. There are a number of major bus lines that drop off with in 1 block of the studio. In addition there is ample street parking both metered and 2 hour zones. There is a metered pay parking lot half a block away on California st. The meters in the immediate area do not have hourly limits. Read this article from the new Fillmore on the subject.
Our Pacific Heights studio is a single room of 1000 sqft. that is comfortably heated, carpeted and mirrored. The heat helps the muscles stretch easier and in turn make is safer for you. We heat the room to 90-95 degrees.
The studio has changing stalls for you to switch into your yoga gear before or after work.
Polk St:To be open summer 2012
Our Polk street location is located in the middle of the Nob/Russian Hill District at 1830 Polk st. There is ample street parking and also 2 garages with 2-3 blocks of the studio. It lays near all the Van Ness bus lines and has Polk st stop across the street.
The studio itself is 3200 sqft and features 2 yoga rooms, lobby and changing stalls(no showers).
The Heating System:
All of our studio feature radiant heating systems which are environmental friendly and hypoallergenic. The heat feels like the sun and is not oppressive.
Our commitment to cleanliness:
We firmly believe in keeping our space a clean as possible. Our carpets are regularly steam cleaned and vacuumed daily with Dyson technology.
To maintain the cleanest mats possible, we treat them with UV (ultra violet) light. Which has been proven to kill 99% of bacteria, viruses, fungus, molds, dust mites on surfaces.
